As seen on America’s Got Talent, Season 16, The Curtis Family  C-notes, are on tour promoting their 3rd album, Awaken III.  Since their AGT appearances, they have done television commercials for JCPenney, ads for Fluevog, and have played sold out shows at iconic venues like Yoshi’s, the Blue Note, the Fox Theatre, and the Concord Pavilion.

The band of multi-instrumentalists is made up of the entire family, Papa C, Mama C, and their 5 children.The 

The Curtis Family has also played and performed with icons like, Jon Batiste, El DeBarge (of the iconic Debarge family), Lenny Williams (former lead singer of Tower of Power), opened for Juan Escovedo (of the famed E Family), Lalah Hathaway, and the 50th annual Stone Soul Concert at the Concord Pavilion.

The Curtis Family’s goal is to use their growing platform to highlight the disparities that adversely affect marginalized communities in San Francisco, through their non-profit, Passing The Torch, where they bring the whole family, seniors and the youth together through music. 

Maestro Curtis and his wife Nola are proud faculty members of the San Francisco Community Music Center where all 5 of their children are also students; they all take pride in being a part of an an institution that ensures high quality music education is accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, regardless of financial means.
