Not only are we a family of performers, we’re also a family of educators. Papa C has several degrees, BA in music and vocal performance, MA in orchestration and arrangement, doctorate in Education, he plays many instruments; he was our first teacher on all of our instruments. Every city we visit across the nation, we hold music workshops to encourage families and communities of all ages to learn, and perform music with each other. The intergenerational component in our music workshops is of the utmost importance, when families and communities can gather to create, grow and learn from one another, layers of fear and ignorance fade, leaving fertile ground for connection and healing.
